Emmerdale fans and cast in stitches over massive gaffe on Good Evening Britain!

Did you spot it - it was hard to miss!

| Updated:

Good Evening Britain hit our screens for the first time last night, as Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid brought their successful breakfast show to prime time.

But it was co-presenter Andi Peters who had soap fans in stitches as he spent the evening in The Woolpack with the cast of Emmerdale.

Andi was in Yorkshire speaking to the cast about what’s happening in the show – but as he chatted with stars Matthew Wolfenden and Anthony Quinlan, aka David Metcalfe and Pete Barton – he dropped a MASSIVE clanger.

“So, boys,” Andi began. “The show, Coronation Street…”

As the cast and crew fell about laughing, Andi realised what he’d done and joined in the giggles.

And Anthony milked the moment for all it was worth.

“Get out of my pub,” he told Andi, channeling legendary soap landlady Peggy Mitchell from EastEnders!

Straight away fans took to social media to share their amusement at the presenter’s big mistake.

“That was top funny,” laughed one fan. “Andi Peters is an absolute television legend,” said another.

One poster shared a pic of Tom Hiddleston as Loki from the Marvel films saying “You had one job, just the one!” whole another pointed out that Andi Peters “doesn’t know his Corrie from his Emmerdale.”

“Awky mo mo,” said another amused viewer.

“So @andipeters just called Emmerdale, Corrie…whilst stood in the Woolpack talking to Emmerdale actors,” said another fan, who sounded like they couldn’t quite believe what they’d seen!

And even the official Emmerdale Twitter account joined in the fun, tweeting: “WE ARE #EMMERDALE, @andipeters E-M-M-E-R-D-A-L-E!”

Some fans said the whole show had been totally bizarre what with Andi Peters mixing up his soaps, Danny Dyer’s Brexit rant, and Piers Morgan just being himself.

“The whole thing is just odd!!!” said one bewildered viewer. We’d all tune in again, though, right?!
