Emmerdale SPOILER: Sarah puts her life in danger

The schoolgirl isn't taking her heart condition as seriously as she should be

Sarah Sugden is a silly girl in Emmerdale next week when she continues to ignore the seriousness of her heart condition.

As mum Debbie insists the schoolgirl gets a second opinion, the family are left rocked when the doctor confirms what they’ve already been told – Sarah’s heart is failing and she needs a transplant.

But the consultant’s words still don’t hit home with Sarah and she is determined to get to her school dance. Because priorities.

Desperate to go to the last hurrah of the school year, Sarah lies and tell the consultant she’s feeling fine, even though this is clearly not the truth.

In fact, Sarah is far from well and is fully out of breath just from walking up the stairs.

She ignores the screaming warning signals however and is dropped off at the dance where she struggles once more to catch her breath.

Later, Samson finds her and offers to take her home but stubborn Sarah is determined to stat at the dance. But at what cost?

Sarah, who has suffered two bouts of cancer, was diagnosed with heart failure earlier this month which could have been caused by chemotherapy.

Medics explained to a scared Sarah and her frantic mum that it’s a rare side effect of the chemotherapy she endured during her cancer battle.

But the future doesn’t look that bleak for Sarah, well not as far as some Emmerdale viewers are concerned anyway.

In fact viewers are convinced that Ross Barton will be the one to save her life.

Poor Sarah has already been through so much in her short life.

Her parents Debbie and Andy Sudgen conceived Jack in the hope of providing life-saving bone marrow for a transplant when she developed leukaemia at the age of seven.

She has survived throat cancer, and many Emmerdale fans believe she can survive this.

Some speculated that Sarah will need a heart transplant, with other theories put Ross in line as hero!

One predicted: “Ross will die and Sarah will get his heart.”

Another thought Joe Tate might offer his money (not his heart), saying: “Sarah will either go on the transplant list (which sometimes doesn’t help heart failure) or Nasty Joe will cough up for the best available treatment in the world to save her life and ALL will be forgiven.”

Others even hoped this would see the return of dad Andy.

What will happen to Sarah? Will Ross die and she get his heart?
