EastEnders star “flirts up a storm” with Piers Morgan on GMB

Host got the actress purring!

EastEnders actress Tameka Empson hit it off with Piers Morgan on Good Morning Britain today as he complimented Tameka on her appearance following a fitness challenge for Sport Relief.

Piers’ co-host Susanna Reid joked they were “flirting up a storm” as the actress jokingly purred and fluttered her eyelashes at the former newspaper editor.

Tameka has just taken part in Famously Unfit… for Sport Relief, a ten-week fitness challenge that saw celebrities complete a gruelling obstacle course.

She said: “It takes guts and it took everything out of me, but we lived to tell the tale.”

Piers then told her: “You know what, Tameka? What’s left is pretty good.”

She flirtatiously responded with a purr: “Why thank you, Piersy.”

“I love the way you do that, Tameka!” Piers then replied with raised eyebrows.

Of course it was all just banter as we know Piers is happily married to author Celia Walden.

Tameka, who plays Kim Fox on Albert Square, took part in the challenge alongside Susannah Constantine, Les Dennis and Miles Jupp.

The celebs had to run, row and swim their way back to fitness with the help of world renowned sports scientist Professor Greg Whyte OBE and Dr Zoe Williams, presenter of BBC Two’s Trust Me, I’m A Doctor.

The participants hope their achievements will inspire viewers to get active – as if they can do it, anyone can.

Tameka admitted it was the kick she needed to exercise more after becoming a mum four years ago, and then injuring her knee when she appeared on Strictly in 2016.

She said: “Strictly left me with a bad right knee. I tore the cartilage and ligaments but having done the Sport Relief show it’s feeling that much better. I needed that encouragement and boost.

“I needed that encouragement – not only from the team (of fellow celebs) but with the professionals as well.”

Fashion expert Susannah said she was also feeling so much better having got fit for the show, and joked she was now lighter than her What Not To Wear co-star Trinny Woodall.

Tameka admitted she’d also lost weight but they both agreed it was more about how they now felt, rather than what they weighed.

She said: “It’s the health side of it as well, because you can look all slim and lovely, but are you healthy?”
