EastEnders SPOILER: Carmel’s discovery destroys Stacey

How much more can the young mum take?

Poor Stacey Fowler has been teetering on the edge over the last few weeks. Hardly surprising with Martin’s stint in prison, Lily turning into the child from hell and now the added stress of baby Arthur being at high risk of Brugada Syndrome.

During last night’s episode, we saw Stacey struggle with the stress of finding out her son could be seriously ill, but there wasn’t a lot the specialists could do about it.

The doctors added another blow too, telling the stressed out mum that Arthur would need lots of specialist equipment, but it was expensive and not available on the NHS.

Martin worried about Stacey’s state of mind and confided in sister, Michelle, that he thought the new baby Stacey is carrying, could be the biggest mistake of his life.

He was shocked when he realised his wife was stood by the door and had overheard the whole thing.

Next week sees little Arthur take a bad turn and rushed to hospital. Stacey, Martin and biological dad Kush are shocked when the reason behind his collapse is revealed.

When Kush shares the news with mum, Carmel, she’s left shaken and voices her fears to her son. Kush warns her to leave it and not risk upsetting Stacey.

Obviously Carmel can’t help but interfere with her grandson’s well-being and she offers to help Stacey with looking after Arthur.

It’s not long before Stacey twigs that Carmel doesn’t trust her to be alone with her own child.

Eventually Stacey breaks down, while Carmel comforts her and offers her reassurance and support.

The truce between the two women doesn’t last for long though.

Carmel makes a shocking discovery while alone with Arthur and takes matters into her own hands.
