David Platt’s rape storyline in Coronation Street is set to take another devastating turn tonight when Gail decides it is time that Sarah knew the truth about what has happened to her brother.
First David took the huge step to tell girlfriend Shona about what happened after that fateful night out with Josh Tucker.
He then he bravely told his mum Gail and gran Audrey about what happened.
But tonight sees Sarah hear the devastating news about David’s ordeal in a Corrie double bill.
Although it is going to be hard for Sarah to hear what her sibling has been through, it might at least explain some of the erratic behaviour that she has witness over the last few weeks.

Not only has David lashed out at Gary in a boxing match, dramatically dumped Shona and moved new girlfriend Emma in who he had known for all of five minutes, and Sarah has been pondering what has been going on in her brother’s mind.
After recently taking the huge step to report the rape to the police, David is bravely facing what happened to him, determined that Josh will get his comeuppance.
With Shona by his side he has faced things that a few weeks ago he would never have thought possible.
The turning point for the young dad came when neighbour Aidan took his own life.
Realising that he didn’t want to die, but was quickly heading down that slippery slope, he bravely found the courage to tell Shona what happened with Josh.
This is the latest heartache for the Platts, following a long string of bad things happening to the family.
Gail is adamant that her dead husband Richard Hillman has put a curse on their family thanks to clairvoyant Rosemary coming to see her.

Little does she know that she is actually working for her ex Lewis Archer and trying to swindle the family out of all their cash.
But for now Gail is desperate to get her family back together and help her kids get through their ordeals by talking.
How will David feel when he knows Gail has told Sarah about what happened to him?
