Rana and Zeedan’s civil wedding ceremony is coming up in next week’s Coronation Street, but Rana is in turmoil over her growing feelings for Kate Connor.

Zeedan is steaming ahead with plans to make their marriage official and, while Rana is trying to appear enthusiastic about the upcoming nuptials, her head is elsewhere.
And with the chemistry between the two women reaching boiling point, when Kate kisses her, Rana responds passionately.
They’re interrupted by Zeedan though, and Kate hurries away, leaving Rana in even more turmoil.
Later, the confused nurse corners Kate and tells her that while she has feelings for her, she loves Zeedan. Kate then tells Rana to stop messing with her head and concentrate on her wedding.
But Rana calls round to Kate’s later and tells her that she only has to say the word and she’ll call off the wedding and be with her.
How will Kate respond?
When the day of the wedding comes round, Zeedan is waiting at the registry office with their friends and family, anxiously checking his watch and wondering where Rana has got to.
A drunken Kate calls Rana and leaves her a message telling her she loves her and wants her to call off the wedding.
Will Rana jilt Zeedan at the alter?
Bhavna Limbachia, who plays Rana, has spoken out about her character’s confusion. She said: “Rana is somewhat confused and trying to convince herself that the civil wedding is just a formality as she tries to brush off the sentiment behind it.
“However her internal struggle and trying to cope with her feelings for Kate are at the forefront of her mind.”
She added: “Rana does not want to label herself as gay or bisexual as she thinks the person she has fallen for just happens to be a woman.
“She’s tried fighting her feelings by investing further into her marriage but it doesn’t make her happy anymore. Kate is who she really wants to be with.”
Bhavana also spoke about the enthusiasm from fans about the potential of a Kate and Rana relationship.
She said: “It’s so humbling to see how supportive the viewers are of Rana’s journey. Also, social media has gone wild for #kana.”
