Summer Spellman has had a terrible time recently. First she disappeared with dad Todd, then she was forced to care for injured dad Billy as he recovered from the injuries he got falling down a cliff at Christmas.
She’s behind at school, struggling with friends (being mates with Amy Barlow will do that!) and in the last episode she discovered her beloved Billy was on drugs.
Summer is supposed to be living with her grandmother Geraldine, because Billy says he can’t look after her (he’s got a point). But she sneaked back home – when she was meant to be at school – to see him. Billy wasn’t at home and when he arrived, Summer hid and heard him taking drugs.
Horrified Summer confronted her dad – and her ‘Uncle Lee’ and she was shocked and upset when Billy turned on her and told her to leave. He shouted that she was better off with her gran and to go.
Summer fled – but she didn’t go to Geraldine. Instead she went to Eileen’s. Except Eileen was out getting drunk in the loos at the Rovers with Liz (long story), and Pat Phelan was home alone.

He comforted the little girl – causing viewers total confusion about how they were supposed to be feeling!
And when Summer opened up about what she’d seen – and how much she didn’t want to live with Geraldine, Phelan looked stern.
He promised he’d sort out her troubles.
“How?” asked Summer.
“I’m not quite sure yet,” Phelan said, thoughtfully. “But we will sort it.”
Uh-oh. Like one viewer said – it’s best not to ask Phelan how he does things!
Does this mean Phelan might bump off Geraldine, so Summer doesn’t have to live with her? Or could it be Billy who’s in his sights?

“Watch out Billy you might be next!” warned one fan on Twitter.
While another said: “Get Phelan to bump Geraldine off. I’m sure that swamp has room for another one.”
