We’re getting to know the coppers down at Weatherfield Police Station now, thanks to Craig’s new career. Not to mention all the murders and other crimes that keep happening on Coronation Street.
And there’s one policeman in particular that has caught the eye of Corrie viewers – because of his striking resemblance to a famous face.
They reckon he looks just like comedian Jason Manford!
The policeman – played by actor Mark Morrell was on screen interviewing Bethany Platt, after she glassed a punter at the lapdancing club.
But viewers weren’t interested in his interviewing technique. Instead they were too busy pointing out his similarity to the comedian.

“Jason Manford is back again,” joked one viewer.
“That policeman looks like Jason Manford,” said another.
Actor Mark Morrell, who plays the police officer, has acknowledged the similarity himself. Last night he apologised to Jason Manford for the confusion! And when he was on screen at the start of the year, fans pointed out the likeness and he played along.

He tweeted Jason Manford and said: “Can we compare birth certificates please. My dad’s not confirming or denying he knows your mum.”
With Mark’s love of making jokes, it seems they share more than a physical resemblance!
