And they make a good argument for why.

Flora, the mother of Pat Phelan victim Vinny Ashford, certainly has the money after all.

Viewers know that Flora recently inherited £250,000 after her son’s untimely death.

While scheming Tracy Barlow has made it her business to get her hands on some of Flora’s cash, fans watching at home thought of a much better investment for the mature lady…

One fan suggested: “Flora could buy the pub.”

Another said: “Flora will either buy the Rovers or pay back those who were conned by Vinny and Pat from flatsgate.”

A third agreed, adding: “Flora as landlady of the Rovers. I like it.”

Will Flora use the money to correct the wrongs of her son?

Pat Phelan killed Vinny after he ran off with the money they had made from the Calcutta Street development scam.

He then threw his body into a river, later putting the body into concrete in a bid to keep his death secret.

Peter Barlow recently announced he wanted to sell his share of the pub after learning about wife Toyah Battersby’s recent baby deception.
