While the truth about Coronation Street’s Pat Phelan is now out in the open, there has still been one mystery that soap fans have been waiting to be answered… and that’s what happened to Vinny Ashford’s missing mum, Flora McArdle?
Corrie viewers haven’t seen poor Flora since Pat used her in his sinister scheme – and we’ve got no idea if she knows about her son’s fate at the hands of the evil serial killer, or if she is even still alive herself.
But it looks like we might be put out of our misery soon as the truth about what happened could be unearthed by none other than Daniel Osbourne.

Viewers will remember that it was actually journalist Daniel who lead Phelan to Flora while he was trying to get himself a newspaper scoop.
Little did he know that he was leading a killer to her door – a killer who would go on to take her son’s life.
But in last night’s double bill of Corrie, Flora was finally mentioned after all this time.
While talking to Sinead in the Bistro, Daniel said explained where he had been all day, “I went so see Flora, Vinny’s mum. Wait Harvey’s mum. I went to the old folks home but she wasn’t there.”
Sinead then unhelpfully suggested that maybe Flora had died, which is why he couldn’t find her at the home.
Luckily, Daniel seemed to think she was still alive and kicking by revealing that she had simply moved out.
The guilt of what he did was clearly eating away at Daniel: “I led pat Phelan to her and then he killed her son. I thought that I was onto something and I let my source down really, really badly.”
So if Flora isn’t at the care home, where is she? Has she innocently moved out, or is there something more sinister behind her sudden departure?

Daniel seemed determined to get to the bottom of the mystery last night…
“I tell you what, I’m going to find out!”
