But when the show had to shoot out of sequence, it meant Sally had a bruise in court with a co-star who hadn’t seen the prison attack.

And then it all got a little bit awkward for the actress and her husband.

Speaking to Notebook magazine, Sally revealed: “Sally got thumped a few weeks back, so they gave me a bruise, and because we film out of sequence, the man playing the prosecuting barrister took me to one side and asked if I was OK.

Back more than ten years ago, Sally was diagnosed with breast cancer in a high-profile storyline designed to raise awareness of the disease.

However things took a twist when actress Sally was diagnosed with the disease in real life as her on-screen counterpart was going through the same.

Sally added: “It was a horrible thing to go through and I was upset it happened when I was doing the story, because it all felt really strange.”

She added: “I don’t want it to define me. It’s a little blip. There are good times and bad times in life. The bad times only make the good times even better.”

And she revealed she will be climbing to the base camp of Everest to celebrate a decade of being clear from the disease.
