Rylan says he was left “crying and bleeding” after spooky encounter

This is so freaky

Presenter Rylan Clark-Neal has revealed a terrifying encounter with a ghost that he says left him “crying and bleeding”.

Appearing on Tuesday’s Loose Women, the 29-year-old was talking about filming 12-hour stints in the dark, for his new reality show, Celebrity Ghost Hunt.

Host, Ruth Langsford started the interview by accusing Rylan of being a “scaredy-cat”.

Rylan confirmed: “I am the worst person to do this job, I really am.

“I’m not a sceptic, I definitely believed that there’s stuff out there, but I’d never really seen it. I wanted to believe.

“But after doing the show, there are places I will never, ever set foot in again… I genuinely give you my word, nothing is set up. I can’t even speak about certain things that happened.”

The ITV panellists, Ruth, Denise Van Outen, Janet Street Porter, and Nadia Sawalha, then asked Rylan about the places he was most freaked out by.

“The Ragged School Museum – the place where we grew up,” he said, turning to Denise, 43, who said: “In east London?”

Describing what happened during filming, the former X Factor finalist said: “It was the most frightening thing… [The whole crew] saw an actual man – an actual man walk towards them.

“I didn’t see it, but I ran, I ran for my life. They all described the same person, to the point where we actually ran out of the building, out onto the street, and one of the girls could still see him in the window. I was too frightened to look.”

At another location, an underground tunnel network, Rylan described having a wander around before filming began.

“We walked down this tunnel, and we get to the end of the tunnel, and it’s bricked up. But then we can hear keys jangling. We heard a key going into a door, unlocking a door… We heard a voice, this voice went ‘GO’.

“I’ve run straight into a wall and then through the tunnel network… I look like the girl from The Ring… I’m literally crying, I’m bleeding, I’m like, ‘Help me’.”

Ruth asked: “So you do believe places are haunted and there are ghosts?”

Rylan said: “100 per cent, 100 per cent.”

The first of six episodes airs on Tuesday night at 10pm on 5STAR, featuring Celebrity Big Brother’s Marnie Simpson, Marcel Somerville from Love Island and Bobby Norris from TOWIE.

The group explored a decommissioned secret nuclear bunker, where Marnie, 26, revealed a serious lack of general knowledge.

In one genius moment from the episode, the group enter the radio room, where politicians would’ve hidden in the event of a nuclear war.

When they spotted a mannequin by the radio, Bobby shouted: “Shut up it’s Margaret Thatcher!””

“What? Who’s Margaret Thatcher?” said a confused Marnie, who has apparently never heard of Britain’s former PM, who was in power from 1979-1990.
