The star faces good days and bad

Kerry Katona recently posted a snap to her Instagram account opening up about her battle with bipolar.

The mum-of-five is no stranger to giving her fans an insight into her mental health struggles and fans were quick to show their support for the star.

The Atomic Kitten singer posted a selfie with the caption: “Feeling blue.”

Kerry, who was diagnosed with the illness in 2005, has spoken about her mental health several times in the public eye.

Devoted fans were quick to offer their support with one writing: “Huge hugs sweetheart. I hope you rest tonight and just have a day for you tomorrow.”

“Chin up Kerry, you can do it. Tomorrow is another day,” another said.

A third wrote: “Sending you lots of love Kerry, hope you feel better soon.”

Another added: “Sending love ur way xx so hard when you get low days x.”

It seems Kerry is feeling a little better today as she posted a selfie of herself smiling while out on a jog.

She wrote: “Just taking that first step is a battle almost won! morning all.. out to change the world.”

Fans praised the star for getting better.

One commented: “Great stuff ! Have a good day, onwards and upwards.”

Another said: “What a lovely smile knew you could do it go girl go.”

This comes shortly after Kerry, 36, appeared on This Morning to talk about her mental health issues.

Speaking to hosts Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford Kerry said: “Only last week I had two or three days constant crying, I didn’t eat.

“I was upset, and for what reason I don’t know, I just felt really irritated.”

The star also spoke about her infamous slurring interview, which led to accusations she was on drugs, on the show eight years ago.

She said: “It was eight years ago I was on the famous couch, [the] infamous interview of me slurring.

“That was due to medication, pure medication.”

“Even now I have episodes where I talk a million miles an hour. I’m still on medication and I’m not ashamed to admit that,” she added.
