Martine McCutcheon reveals why she didn’t take part in body shoot

The Loose Women stripped down for a body confidence shoot

Martine McCutcheon has admitted she wasn’t “brave enough” to strip down for the Body Stories campaign alongside her fellow Loose Women panellists.

The Loose ladies bared their un-airbrushed bods earlier this week in a photo shoot to promote body confidence.

But Martine, 40, didn’t take part despite being a big part of the ITV talk show.

Loose Women’s official Instagram account posted a snap of the black and white shoot thanking fans for their support.

They captioned the picture: “Thanks for all your support for our Body Stories campaign! #MyBodyMyStory #loosewomen.”

The former EastEnders star commented on the photo saying: “The Beautiful and the brave!! Love you all darlings @loosewomen I admit it – I wasn’t brave enough to do it!! Well done ladies!! X.”

And the mum-of-one wasn’t the only panellist to not be in the campaign.

Ruth Langsford, 57, was criticised for not joining her co-stars Katie Price, Andrea McLean, Coleen Nolan and Linda Robson for the shoot despite being a huge part of the show.

Fans were left wondering where Ruth was as the photo was shared on social media.

One said: “Why on earth was Ruth not in the picture, when she’s a major part of the show!!!!!”

Another added: “@RuthieeL not taking part? Shame on you Ruth. Well done to the others!”

But during a live Facebook interview Andrea McLean revealed why Ruth didn’t take part.

Talking about Ruth’s absence from the campaign Andrea, 47, revealed: “It is really straightforward. We were not chosen, we were all asked if we wanted to be involved but not everyone was available on the day.”

Panellist Linda Robson added: “Ruth was probably doing This Morning on that day – and that’s why she wasn’t there but all of the Loose Women stars were asked.”

The panellists have been praised for the campaign by viewers.

On Instagram one wrote: “So inspiring, thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Such a refreshing change from what most celebs want us to see.”

“Well done ladies, you are a real inspiration to all of us. Body confidence effects us all,” another added.
