Davina McCall says she WON’T quit TV despite embarking on personal trainer qualification

There's room for both careers in her life

She may have turned 50, but Davina McCall is proving that age is nothing but a number.

The TV presenter has always been passionate about fitness and health – just look at all the DVDs and healthy eating books she’s had out.

Before Christmas, the star revealed that she was going to try and train as a PT instructor, and lo and behold, one month later the inspirational woman is doing it.

She took to Instagram on Tuesday to announce the start of her qualification, saying: “I’ve started my goal for 2018 … to get qualified… hopefully to PT… I learned so much and loved every minute.”

Inspiring loads of her followers online, the mum of three has already kept her fans up-to-date with her first session.

Davina added a video to Instagram which showed her doing some rather impressive bum squats with a weightlifting bar across her shoulders.

She also made sure that they knew that just because she was learning something new, it didn’t mean she was giving up on her TV work.

She said: “I love learning … the older I get …the more I realise how much more I have to learn …. getting a qualification is to prove to myself what I’ve already learned and to open myself up to lots of future opportunities! And more learning!!!

“I’m not leaving telly I’m adding another string to my bow… or another weight to my barbell.”
