Is that you, Brooke?!

She’s best known for her long-running role as Sophie Webster in Coronation Street.

But soap star Brooke Vincent looked a million miles away from her Weatherfield alter-ego as she showed off a dramatic and painful-looking makeover.

Now, before you go thinking poor Sophie’s fallen victim to some traumatic accident in a shock upcoming storyline, these pictures were actually taken as Brooke films a brand new role.

The actress has found time in her hectic filming schedule to lend her star power to a new short film.

And, as you can probably guess, she plays the unfortunate victim of a car accident, who is left pretty bloodied and bruised.

Brooke shared a slew of photos to Instagram as she got into character for short film, Chapter 1: Liv, about a woman who wakes up in her bedroom following a car crash and is helped by her mum to piece together what happened.

Incredible before and after photos highlighted the magic of make-up as Brooke was covered in painful-looking cuts, bruises and scrapes.

Fans were blown away by the graphically realistic makeover and took to social media in praise of the talented make-up artist.

Brooke, meanwhile, thanked the film’s director Dominic Stephenson, saying: “Had the best time playing Liv today!! Thank you Dom for picking me to play her!! I loved it!!!”

Brooke isn’t the only Corrie star appearing in Liv; her mum is played by Sally Ann Matthews, aka Jenny Bradley.

There’s also an appearance by Simon Naylor, who played Dane Hibbs.

The short film is released in 2018.

Brooke famously took a short break from Corrie last year to stretch her acting chops by starring in a play.

But, thankfully, she’s promised soap fans she has no intention of leaving the show for good – even if she’d like the chance to “dip in and out” as she explores different acting opportunities.

She told RadioTimes: “I loved doing the play and I’ve come back with a completely different mindset. I wouldn’t necessarily want to leave, but I wouldn’t be as scared to.

“I might be like Peter Barlow and dip in and out as and when! That’d be nice!”

Just as long as you always come back, Brooke!
