He wrote: “Something special happened as the sun went down and the moon was rising.. My love, my best friend, and my moon became my fiancé. We are so excited and happy to share with you that we’re engaged!”

He shared three pictures from the special moment. The first was a selfie of the happy couple with Amy showing her new ring with her hand rested on Kevin’s chest.

Kevin, 29, found fame in the UK last year when he auditioned for The X Factor. He won over judge Nicole Scherzinger and was picked to be in her ‘overs’ category for the live shows.

Once there, he wowed viewers every week with his soulful voice and moving performances, making it all the way to the final where he lost out to group Rak Su.

Amy was seen supporting him all the way, as she was by his side for his first audition, attended the live shows and joined him on his ‘Battle Bus’ in the final.

Former electrician Kevin said Amy had always been his “number one big support” since they had met two years ago, and he’d moved from Paris to London to be with her.

Since The X Factor, Kevin has been on show’s live tour and has been doing solo gigs across the UK. He’s also booked to perform at some festivals over the summer.
