So Pat Phelan is alive and kicking – or at least he will be once he gets that pesky leg stitched up – but what will his next move be?

Coronation Street bosses are staying very tight-lipped about what the killer builder has planned for the future, which makes us think there are lots more twists and turns on the way before we say a final goodbye to him.
But will he return to the cobbles to wreak revenge on all those who have wronged him? Nicola, Gary, Seb, Eileen – you’d better watch your backs.
Or will he cut his losses and start a new life for himself away from Weatherfield?
Corrie viewers have their theories about what Phelan does next.
Some think he’ll keep away from the Street: “No he can’t go back on the cobbles unfortunately. But he can cause more trouble and keep an [eye] on what’s going on on the street and Eileen,” said one fan.
Others think he’ll be heading back to cause more chaos: “Haha this sounds good I’d like to see that happen but also see him head back to Weatherfield and get revenge. He can find a way to get away with it he always does,” predicted another watcher.
Some think he’ll stay away for a while and plot his next move carefully before making a shocking return to Weatherfield.
“I think it would make more sense for him to stay away, plan his revenge and return 6-12 months down the road,” tweeted a fan.
And some reckon he’ll kill again, with many fearing the old lady at the B&B will be his next victim.
“I think the old dear looking after him now will be killed by him, she’ll be watching the news with him on it, and he’ll be behind her,” one viewer chillingly predicted.

So what will his next move be? Could he do the honourable thing and go back to Weatherfield to stop his wife getting the blame for his crimes? Unlikely.
