I’m a Celebrity viewers have been sharing their bewilderment over Richard Madeley’s jungle makeover.
Daytime TV star Richard was on the panel for the first episode of the ITV2 spin-off show Extra Camp with presenters Joel Dommett and Scarlett Moffatt and fellow panelist DJ Maya Jama.
But 61-year-old Richard’s tight-fitting white T-shirt, his skinny jeans, fake tan and his blond highlights raised some eyebrows among the viewers, who didn’t hesitate to share their concern that something was up with Mr Madeley.
“Sorry but between that t-shirt and walking in with Maya on his arm, Richard Madeley looks like he’s having a mid life crisis,” said one viewer.
“Mid life crisis arrived?” agreed another fan.

“What the heck has happened to Richard Madeley?” wrote another, while another just bluntly wrote: “State of Richard Madeley.”
And when Richard had the cheek to share his opinion that YouTube star Jack Maynard was “a bit ugly”, fans were quick to point out that Madeley was no oil painting himself.

“How is richard madeley calling anyone ugly with his eyeliner and kids shirt?” questioned one outraged viewer.
And the viewers came up with some brilliantly inventive comparisons for the newly made-over star.
“Looks like a poundshop cliff richard,” said one.
“Richard Madeley looks like a member of Duran Duran,” suggested another.
“Why does Richard Madeley look like a baddie out the first die hard?” another asked.
We look forward to seeing if this new look is permanent or just for Richard’s time in Oz.
Well, the jury may be out, but we’re impressed by his physique.
