Tracy Ann Oberman’s ‘naughty’ slip on Sunday Brunch leaves viewers in hysterics

Host Tim Lovejoy was forced to apologise for the "inappropriate" mention

Former EastEnders star Tracy Ann Oberman turned the air blue(ish) earlier today after uttering a ‘naughty’ word on Sunday Brunch.

Discussing online trolls, the actress recalled the various ways in which she has been abused on social media.

But it seems neither Tim Lovejoy nor Simon Rimmer were expecting her to be so graphic when describing the foul treatment she receives from cowardly trolls.

“I usually just got some tweets or the occasional [bleep] pic,” she explained before continuing on with her points.

The hosts appeared to be a little taken aback by the mention – but did not interrupt Tracy Ann as she persisted with her anecdote.

Tim later spluttered: “Can I just say, as a TV show, we have to apologise for the inappropriate word you said.”

A bewildered Tracy Ann replied: “Oh, is that still a rude word?”

“I don’t know,” admitted a cautious Tim.

“It’s on the edge.”

Tracy Ann also apologised – but later chuckled away on Twitter with fans for the ‘edgy’ aside.

“Dropping ‘[bleep] pic’ on Sunday morning TV 🤣 brilliant 👏,” applauded one viewer.

“[Bleep] pic fantastic comment although @timlovejoy went a bit OTT with the whole thing,” added another person.

“What you supposed to call them – penis picture? 😂😂😂 TV gold.”

A third observer reflected on the delay on the intervention from the presenter: “She rambles on while we’re all crying laughing just waiting for Tim to apologise 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.”

“😂😂😂 I noticed that too!” said another person in reply.

And Tracy Ann herself contributed to the thread of comments: “Who knew [bleep] was rude 😂?”

The Friday Night Dinner regular also made reference to her character on the show when another social media user described her getting “told off” as “incredible”.

“Naughty Aunty Val,” Tracy Ann agreed.

– Sunday Brunch airs on Channel 4 on Sundays from 9.30am
