This Morning host Holly Willoughby reveals embarrassing first job and how she hid it from friends

We suppose someone has to publicise them…

What did This Morning host Holly Willoughby say about her first job?

Holly appears on The Jonathan Ross Show this Saturday night (December 11).

And, during the chat, she unveils her surprise first foray into the world of showbiz.

She told Jonathan about her early modelling jobs: “My first job was for sanitary towels.

“I remember all my friends saying: ‘Let’s see you in a magazine!’

“I was there saying: ‘Don’t look at it!’” she squealed.

“I was the face of sanitary towels.”

At 18, Holly got another shot at life in front of the lens, this time modelling for bra brand Pretty Polly.

With dark brown wavy locks, she can be seen explaining how the bra works, pushing her boobs up before squeezing them together.

In an American accent she is seen looking in the mirror as she says: “Don’t squeeze them. Lift them!”

Living her life ‘in a lot of fear’

Holly also reveals to Jonathan that she’s lived her life “in a lot of fear about what other people think about me”.

She added that she also worried about if “I might embarrass myself by doing something”.

However, she added: “I think that age, and this is a really lovely thing about ageing, you definitely get to know yourself a bit more.

“You definitely feel more confident in your own skin, you definitely care a little bit less.”

Holly realised something was ‘missing’ in her life

The star will also be seen opening up about discovering something was missing in her life.

“I’ve been a very, very busy mum, I’ve got three kids, I think for a long time I’ve sort of prided myself on spinning all these plates and coasting through life, and getting through life.

“I don’t regret any of those things, it’s all been wonderful, but I think I felt like something was missing and when I sat still and sat with myself, I realised that the thing missing was me.

“And I’d done really well on all this other stuff, but I didn’t know what music I liked or what I was into.

“The more I started to open up to this, the more I realised I just needed to get to know myself and the book [Reflections] really is just an exploration of that,” she said.
