This Morning fans were divided over presenters Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford’s last day on the show before Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby’s return.
Eamonn and Ruth, both 60, have been holding the fort while Phil and Holly have been away on their summer break.

“Today is a very sad day,” Eamonn said as the husband-and-wife duo began their final show of the summer.
Ruth added: “I’m at work. It’s our last day of summer This Morning for Eamonn and I.
“Gosh, that’s gone so quickly!”

During the summer Eamonn and Ruth, Rochelle Humes, Dermot O’Leary, Alison Hammond and others have all stood in for Phil and Holly.
But now the main presenting pair is due back to work tomorrow (Tuesday September 1) and their return divided viewers.
Viewers took to Twitter to express their views at the end of the summer season.

What did viewers say about Phil and Holly?
But some viewers couldn’t contain their delight at the prospect of Phil and Holly’s return.
“I might need this breathing exercise when Phil and Holly are back tomorrow,” one viewer wrote, using a .gif of a character blowing into a paper back.
Another said: “So excited for @hollywills and @Schofe to be back tomorrow.
“Missed them!”

Holly recently expressed her own excitement at going back to work.
