There’s ANOTHER surprise suspect in Emmerdale’s Who Killed Emma Barton saga

Expect the unexpected

So we all know that it’s the Big Reveal in tonight’s Emmerdale double-bill and after weeks and weeks of being armchair detectives we’ll finally find out who killed Emma Barton.

According to Paddy Power, Gabby Thomas is still the odds-on favourite to be unmasked as a murderer, but we’ve been watching soaps long enough to know it’s always the person you least expect.

Fans have already predicted that Emmerdale could well be taking a leaf out of rival soap, EastEnders, book by revealing the killer to be a child.

There has been huge speculation this week that Gabby’s brother, Arthur Thomas, pushed Emma, echoing EastEnders revealing Bobby Beale murdered his sister, Lucy back in 2015.

But now fans have another theory about who the killer is and – again – it’s not one of the seven official suspects.

After last night’s opening which focused on the suspects going about their day, with ominous music in the background, viewers wondered why Victoria Barton – who’s married to suspect, Adam – was included in the montage.

And they were quick to race to Twitter with their theories.

“I think Victoria might have killed Emma,” shared one suspicious fan.

“Wouldn’t be at all surprised if Victoria Killed Emma #Emmerdale #NoReturn,” added another.

While a third tweeted: “If it’s not Harriet, then maybe Victoria killed Emma…she was freaking over Ross being set up.”

Here are the latest odds from Paddy Power on the Emmerdale WhoDunit:

Evens    Gabby

11/4      Ross

14/1      Adam

33/1      Moira

66/1      Finn

80/1      Cain

6/1        Any other character

A spokesperson for the brand said: “Soap fans love a good whodunit and with a number of characters having motive to kill Emma, fans have been busy over the last couple of months trying to guess the identity of the culprit.

“With it being unclear as to whether the rest of the village will find out the killer’s identity, the story line could still have several more twists and turns left.”
