The Chase fans fuming as contestant takes minus offer after earning NOTHING in cash builder

The Chase viewers were left furious after a contestant opted for the minus offer after earning not a single penny in the cash builder round.

On Tuesday’s show, student Hannah from West Sussex struggled with the questions in the cash builder round and ended up with nothing as she went head-to-head with chaser Shaun Wallace – aka The Dark Destroyer.

Shaun offered her a high offer of £40K and a low offer of minus £1000.

Hannah could have also stuck with her £0 and just played for a spot in the final round.

Hannah admitted she had always said she wouldn’t take a low offer but she ended up choosing that option.

Host Bradley Walsh told her: “Yeah that’s brilliant, it’s absolutely the right decision.”

Viewers were quick to share their thoughts on Hannah’s performance, with many not happy that she took the minus offer.

One person said: “There’s no place in society for anyone who takes a minus offer on the Chase #thechase #windsmerightup.”

Another wrote: “I hope she gets caught … I wouldn’t dare show me face again in public … not get a single question right then take the minus?!”

A third tweeted: “Well done Hannah?? For getting zero and taking a minus offer? #TheChase.”

Despite getting nothing in her cash builder round, Hannah made it through to the final Chase.

She joined her teammates, taking their total down to £4,000 from £5,000.
