Sylvain Longchambon blasts Dancing on Ice judges after Steph Waring’s skate off departure

She's also got concerns about the DOI app

| Updated:

Stephanie Waring was the latest celeb to hang up her skates this weekend, losing the dreaded skate off against Lemar.

She was booted out by judges Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean – although Ashley Banjo and Jason Gardiner both voted for her to stay.

As per DOI rules, the deciding vote this week went to Jayne, much to Steph’s disappointment who lamented that all her hard work had “gone down the toilet”.

And to add insult to injury, Lemar had even slipped over at one point during his skate-off routine.

Sylvain has since hit out at the judges for their choice on Sunday, telling The Sun: “The rules are if there’s a stumble in the skate off then if the other couple skate well then they should be out. That is the rule of the skate off.

“This happened five years ago with Pamela Anderson. She had a stumble and she was voted out.

“They gave Steph better marks on her main routine and he stumbled in the skate off and they chose him over her.

“Maybe his skate off was stronger but it is hard to understand when you have two judges that pick you and other two don’t.”

For her part, Steph’s been wondering if the Dancing on Ice app – where many viewers vote – has been playing up.

She took to Twitter to say: “A few people have said that they could only vote for me once as their app was freezing and wouldn’t update . . I had this problem on the night could only cast 1 vote.. anyone else?”

Steph retweeted some responses, including one who said: “It wouldn’t let me vote for you at all on my app but could vote lemar no problems.”

Steph also blasted fans who claimed she was bitter for having been voted out, and shared that she wasn’t the only one to have experienced issues with the app.

Dancing on Ice continues this Sunday at 6pm, where the remaining contestants will do battle on the ice once more.
