Susanna Reid was fascinated to discover she has a long lost relative in Scotland, and Piers Morgan couldn’t get over the resemblance between them.

Good Morning Britain had a Jeremy Kyle moment on today’s show where they DNA tested Susanna and her co-host Piers Morgan.

The heritage DNA test can trace your family ancestry and match your DNA with others around the world, with whom you will share either a close or distant relative.

Some of Susanna’s matches were revealed and she was “fascinated” by how much she looked like the others who shared her DNA, commenting that they could all be mistaken for siblings.

She was then introduced to one of them via video link – charity worker Sara Wilson from Glasgow.

Piers Morgan couldn’t get over the resemblance between the two.

“You could be twin sisters!” he exclaimed.

“Have you ever been told you look like Susanna?” he then asked her.

Sara said that when Susanna appeared on Strictly, she was often told she looked like the GMB host.

She said: “My mum and aunties often say I look like her. We are huge Strictly fans and when she was on that, people would say ‘you are doubles’.”

She added that she was delighted by the connection as Susanna is “absolutely gorgeous”.

However, many viewers said they couldn’t see a likeness.

Susanna found via her DNA that she is 17% English and also has some Iberian, Eastern European and Scandinavian links.

Meanwhile, her co-host Piers Morgan was surprised to find via his DNA test that he “doesn’t have a drop of English blood”. He was found to be 91% Irish/Scottish/Welsh.
