Their kiss outside the Strictly rehearsal space sparked as much interest as their dance floor shimmies and Strictly’s Debbie McGee has admitted she loves dance partner Giovanni Pernice.
But sadly not in the way everyone is thinking – they just have a ‘very special friendship.’ Boo!
Talking to the Daily Express, Debbie, who is 59, laughed off any suggestion there was any rumpy pumpy amid the rumbas, and made it quite clear there will be no trysts after their tangos.
The widow of Paul Daniels has come into her own since entering the dance competition, and is now one of the favourites to lift the Glitterball trophy.

Explaining their al fresco snogette, the former magician’s assistant revealed the truth behind their intimate meals and dance floor chemistry.
“We have a very special friendship,” she admitted, adding she thought it was ‘absolutely great people think he fancies me’.
“The truth is we really like each other but it isn’t a love affair. We love each other, but we are not in love with each other. It’s just one of those very special friendships,” she added.
Pointing out that the dance pro was just 27, and ‘thirty years younger than me!’ Debbie did reveal what makes their – dance floor – relationship work, and just why they hit it off so much.
“We have a chemistry, a great sense of humour, we both make each other laugh and that has brought us together,” she insisted.
And she reckoned any hint of anything else was all in the viewers’ minds… naughty viewers.

“We have a very special friendship. People see us dancing these sexy routines and then we are pictured having lunch together so assume something must be going on.”
That’s cleared that up then. Unless of course it’s a case of the lady doth protest too much…
