Shirley Ballas left fans baffled and questioning if she was okay last night when she awarded Dan Walker a nine on Strictly Come Dancing.
Viewers couldn’t believe she gave him the same mark as Rose Ayling-Ellis, who wowed with a quickstep.
They have immediately accused her of playing favourites and questioned what was going on with her.

Dan Walker’s Strictly perfomance
Dan and his partner Nadiya danced a Charleston in Musicals week to Good Morning from Singing In The Rain.
Ahead of the performance, fans had been cross calling it ‘a free pass’ to the next week.
And sure enough, Dan received high praise from the judges, who all said he was improving. But while Cynthia Erivo, who was standing in for Craig Revel Horwood, and Motsi Mabuse gave him a fair seven, Shirley got out her nine paddle.
Prior to awarding the mark, she raved about his performance before saying: “You are gradually getting there and for me, that’s your best dance so far.”
Anton Du Beke, who gave Dan an eight, told him although he wasn’t the best dancer, he had “had the best journey” so far.
What mark did Shirley give Dan on Strictly?
As Dan received his nine from Shirley fans soon shared their feelings over the marking on Twitter.

Again Dan is technically SO far behind the others. He tries his best and he has improved, I appreciate that. But there were just so many issues with that Charleston. If he doesn’t go this week it’ll be wrong in my opinion. Also 9?! What planet is Shirley on?! 🤦 #Strictly

How did Dan Walker do on Strictly?
Dan finished with a total of 31 points. He thanked everyone for the opportunity to dance and said he loves it so much.
The score still left him on the bottom of the leaderboard, but we don’t yet know if he’s in the bottom two.

Did Tilly Ramsay get overmarked?
Elsewhere, a row has raged on after Tilly Ramsay, who has been in the bottom two for the last two weeks, received a perfect 40 for her couple’s choice to Revolting Children from Matilda.
One fan wrote: “I swear Tilly has been overmarked all season. What’s up with that?!”
Another agreed: “I love Tilly but that 40 confused the life outta me?!”
“Tilly’s score must have been a fix. It was the worst dance of the night,” said someone else.
Meanwhile, a fourth added: “There’s definitely some sort of fix going on with Tilly; weakest performance tonight and she scores all the 10s??!!”
