Strictly viewers agree the right person won for very significant reason

It's all over for another year!

Ecstatic Holby City star Joe McFadden has been crowned Strictly Come Dancing champion 2017 at the end of a sensational final.

In shock, the 42-year-old said:

“It feels so surreal. Every one of us here is a winner and I love them all to bits.”

Awww. Bless him. Many, many fans were happy with the win, not just because he’s lovely but because he had gone on a proper Strictly journey.

They believed that he epitomised what the show should be about – a celeb with limited experience learning to dance.

Others praised him getting noticeably better week in, week out – and managing to escape being in a dance-off!

Joe and partner Katya were chosen as winners by the viewers alone – judges had no say.

They had marked the finalists after each dance, however – and Alexandra Burke topped the leader board..

In the end, the British public had their say – and disagreed with the professionals’ verdict…
