Strictly star went the full monty backstage!

Who was left blushing after a backstage prank?

Strictly Come Dancing is well- known for its daring costumes.

From thigh-high splits in dresses to navel- slashed openings in shirts, the celebrities often squeeze themselves into sequinned designs that leave little to the imagination.

But one star of last year’s Strictly contestants has revealed that a fellow contestant ended up taking it all off after a prank between the celebs backstage.

Ed Balls may not have won last year’s show, but he was undoubtedly the star of the series as he shocked audiences with his eye- opening performance to Gangnam Style, partnered by Katya Jones.

Appearing on Strictly spin- off show It Takes Two last night, the former politician spoke to host Zoe Ball, guest Katy Brand, and the Reverend Richard Coles, who was the second celeb to be eliminated this year.

The guests were discussing Strictly’s infamous spray tans, when Richard said: “As a vicar, unusually, I have had a spray tan with Debbie McGee and believe you me, the sky’s the limit with that woman.”

Richard’s revelation about his fellow Strictly contestant made Ed think of one of his own celebrity co- stars.

Joking about Debbie’s spray tan, he asked Richard: “Top half or full Jeremy Vine?”

Laughing, he went on to explain what he meant, recalling a prank from last year’s show.

“Full Jeremy Vine is total starkers,” Ed explained. “He was told by the guys in the first week that for the spray tan you strip completely naked.”

“He took everything off and he had the whole deal,” Ed continued. “What show did he think he was on? What on Earth was he doing?”

“I always said I would have a spray tan but not a full Jeremy,” he said.

It was a shocking tale, not least for host Zoe, who admitted: “This is the most surreal conversation I’ve ever been witness to.”

We’re with you there Zoe, but what will Jeremy have to say for himself?
