Strictly pro Aljaz Skorjanec ‘auditions’ for new role on BBC show

And he's told 'you're hired!'

Strictly favourite Aljaz Skorjanec has “auditioned” for another role on the BBC dance show.

Aljaz – who is married to It Takes Two presenter Janette Manrara – was eliminated from this year’s competition in week eight.

He was paired with Dragons’ Den star Sara Davies.

And now Aljaz has quipped that he’s looking to broaden his horizons by applying for a new role on the show.

What did Aljaz say about his new role on Strictly?

Fear not, Strictly fans, Aljaz is not hanging up his dancing shoes just yet.

Although, if the video he posted to Instagram is anything to go by, he is looking into learning a new skill for the role.

The pro dancer was seen sitting at a sewing machine in a clip filmed by his pal Sara.

He captioned the video: “My audition for @vickygilldesign team on @bbcstrictly. Thank you @saradaviescc for capturing the moment!”

So what was BBC Strictly star Aljaz really doing?

Aljaz revealed that he was sitting at his laptop “replying to a few emails” and just happened to be sat in front of the sewing machine.

Crafting queen Sara can be heard saying: “That’s how I do my emails.”

Aljaz then puts his foot on the peddle and says: “Look, you put your foot on it and it’s moving, it’s moving!”

He then looks pretty sheepish, as if he’s about to break the machine, and walks away.

So it looks as if the audition for the new role with the costume team didn’t exactly go to plan.

Although his former Strictly partner Emma Weymouth did declare: “You’re hired!”

How did Strictly fans react?

Aljaz’s fans flooded the comments section, revealing they love the pro’s sparkling sense of humour.

“Aljaz bring so much joy into my life he is always smiling,” said one fan.

Another added: “Brilliant! What outfit are you going to make?”

A third said: “You could start your own line: Aljaz Attire.”

“You never see him without a smile on his face,” another declared.

“I thought you were taking part in Great British Seeing Bee,” giggled another.
