Strictly guest Cynthia Erivo hits back at critics after they tell her to ‘never judge again’

The star returned to the panel on Saturday

Strictly Come Dancing guest judge Cynthia Erivo has addressed critics after standing in for Motsi Mabuse over the weekend.

The 34-year-old actress and singer returned to the panel on Saturday (November 27) after previously replacing Craig Revel Horwood.

However, Cynthia appeared to divide some Strictly viewers at home.

Taking to social media yesterday (November 28), Cynthia posted a series of fan comments following her second live show.

The first complimented the star on the panel, saying: “Love love love you on Strictly, thank you for giving some excellent critiques.”

However, the second wasn’t as positive.

Please never judge on Strictly again

The second note read: “Please never judge on Strictly again. Ruined 2 weeks in a row with your horrendous scoring.”

And the comment didn’t go unnoticed with Cynthia.

Sharing her thoughts, she poked fun: “@BBC STRICTLY SPLITTING OPINIONS!!!”

Following the main show on Saturday, many took to Twitter to praise the musical star.

“Can we keep Cynthia as a fifth judge? Love her! #Strictly,” one posted.

Some took issue after the star gave Dan Walker a nine, while AJ Odudo received an eight.

One complained: “Nope get Cynthia off here as a stand-in judge, 8 for AJ, 9 for Dan? #Strictly.”

A second asked: “Can Claudia ask Cynthia why she marked Dan higher than AJ #Strictly.”

A third agreed: “Baffling that Cynthia have a 9 to Dan and 8 to AJ and 9 to Rhys her scoring are bizarre to say the least.”

A fourth posted: “Just caught up on Strictly. I love Cynthia Erivo but how in the heck did she rank Dan above AJ? Last night was the most inconsistent scoring yet #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing.”

Meanwhile, Tilly Ramsay and Nikita Kuzmin were voted off the show last night.
