Spectacular Strictly Come Dancing 2019 trailer sees show’s pros take the lead

But what's got Katya Jones looking so grumpy?

| Updated:

The dolled up pros for Strictly Come Dancing 2019 put their best dancing feet forward in a new trailer for the upcoming series released by the BBC.

Soundtracked by Body Talks by rockers The Struts, the short vid shows some of Strictly’s finest dancers getting ready for a spectacular performance.

Oti Mabuse is seen touching up her make up before dashing across to Dianne Buswell, who offers her a bright feather with which to accessorise their sparkly outfits.

Katya Jones – who recently announced her split from husband and fellow Strictly pro Neil – is also seen dressed up to the nines – but her exasperated expression suggests something may be amiss with their preparations.

Oti and Dianne merely show off their elaborately-decorated in response to Katya before a bunch of the lads sweep in to make their presence felt.

Giovanni Pernice chucks glitter over Gorka Marquez – who has confirmed he will not be in a featured spot this year – before current champ Kevin Clifton changes into something a little more purple for dazzling effect.

Veteran pro Anton du Beke brings a dash of dashing experience to the vibrant vid before most of the pros assemble for one final group pose.

A voiceover adds: “Glammed up and ready to go. Strictly’s back on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.”
