Simon Cowell invites his ex-girlfriends to X Factor’s judging panel

He's playing with fire!

| Updated:

The saying ‘three is a crowd’ doesn’t mean a thing to Simon Cowell, as The X Factor’s head honcho has invited not one but two of his ex-girlfriends to the judge’s houses round.

His fiancée and mother of his son Eric, Lauren Silverman, will be joined by Sinitta, his girlfriend from the 80s.

The singer is a regular on the show but recently hit controversy after alleging she had been abused by senior figures in the music industry.

Coming as more of a surprise is the addition of presenter and actress Terri Seymour’s.

Terri split with Simon, 58, back in 2008, and the couple had been dating for six years previously, spelling one of his longest relationships to date.

The trio of brunettes will join Simon in LA, where each of the contestants that have passed the brutal six-chair challenge round will be fighting for a place in the final in the ITV talent show.

The head judge has previously been accompanied by the likes of Sinitta and Cheryl Cole, but has this year chosen to host an audience of 50 to help him judge his category.

Typically held in rented locations around the world, Simon’s own home will play host this year, meaning contestants will really get the chance to mingle with his inner circle!

Pstttt, we’ve heard he has black loo roll in the toilets!

The pressure is on for the contestants, with audience members also including American Idol judges Randy Jackson and Paula Abdul, alongside host Ryan Seacrest.

A source told The Mirror: “Simon really had people who know what the X Factor is in a singer.”

However, Simon may be in for some stiff competition as his son Eric is slowly moving his way up to knock his dad off the top spot.

The lookalike tot has been accompanying his dad to auditions since he was just a baby (although he wore headphones to start with) and proud dad Simon has already revealed he has an eye for talent.

“He has to take over for me, I’ve put him in training,” Simon said.

“He’s down at the shows, he has the earplugs in. I would absolutely love it if he could do what I do.”

It looks like the contestants better get the chocolate biscuits and bribery toys at the ready!
