What other reasons could there be for Shirley to leave?

Ruby’s comments come after Shirley had recent a health scare. The scare came after a concerned Strictly viewer noticed that the 61-year-old had a lump in her armpit.

She has since had numerous tests to find out what’s wrong. Speaking to The Sun last month, the judge said: “My doctor was mortified by my results. I try to take it a day at a time.”

The Strictly star discovered that she had high levels of hormones. However, Shirley said she isn’t letting the negatives get her down. She said that she tries not to focus on health worries because “it’s easy for me to go down a dark route”.

“I do tend to worry, so for me, it’s a case of keep busy, keep busy, keep moving,” she said.

What happened on Strictly this week?

Things will be getting busier for the judge, along with everyone else on Strictly, as the show hurtles towards its exciting conclusion.

Just last night (Sunday 21 November) McFly singer Tom Fletcher and his dance partner, Amy Dowden left the show. They lost the dance-off against Rhys Stephenson in Musicals Week.

Viewers were unhappy with the result, with many Strictly fans furious the singer had been booted off. Some viewers even accused Shirley of voting for Tom Fletcher to stay for ‘dramatic effect’.
