Ronan Keating’s daughter auditions for The Voice!

Did the coaches turn around for Missy?

There must be a lot of pressure when you’re the daughter of a famous singer, but Missy Keating certainly lived up to her dad’s legend in her audition for The Voice.

Boyzone superstar Ronan Keating’s daughter will appear on the ITV talent show this weekend, but Friday’s Lorraine featured a special sneak peek of the 17-year-old singing.

Missy appears at the blind auditions alongside her friend as part of the girl band duo, GGMK, and they sing Forget You by Cee-Lo Green.

She and her pal, Georgia Gaffney explain: “We’re 17 and we’re best friends.”

Missy – who also plays the guitar in the performance – continues: “Our families have inspired us so much. I’ve grown up around music, my dad Ronan being in Boyzone.

“He was my age when he started. So I just want to start my career now and get a move on.”

Georgia adds: “I’m going to be terrified. Looking at the chairs going, ‘Turn, turn, turn!’ Just praying they turn.”

Coaches Will.i.am, Tom Jones, Jennifer Hudson and Olly Murs all seem to be enjoying the performance, but we’ll have to wait until the show to find out whether anyone turned around.

The Boyzone singer is also dad to Ally, 13, and Jack, 20, from his marriage to Yvonne Connolly. They split in 2010, with Ronan moving on with his now-wife Storm Uechtritz.

They have son, Cooper, 21 months, who recently gave Mum and Dad a scare, after contracting a virus that put him in hospital for three long days.

Missy’s mum, Yvonne joined her at the auditions, recently telling The Herald: “I went over with her. I was kind of nervous because so much goes on before the actual audition.

“Whatever Missy wants to do, I do. For years she was acting in the Gaiety Theatre doing lessons and I wouldn’t let her audition. I didn’t want the kids going into show business.”

The budding singer previously spoke to The Irish Sun, saying: “I want to get there on my own so I prefer not to mention my family name when we’re doing gigs. I don’t want my dad to be the reason we get gigs.”
