Piers Morgan wails after ‘experiencing childbirth pain’ and apologises to all women

He's realised the error of his ways

Presenter Piers Morgan has apologised to women everywhere after experiencing the pain of childbirth for himself.

The Good Morning Britain host took on the challenge of trying a labour simulator, to understand what women go through when having a baby.

He was wired up to a TENS machine by an expert live on air, but Piers didn’t realise what he was letting himself in for.

The 54-year-old soon screamed out in pain and winced as the machine took effect.

Piers said the experience was real “agony” and vowed he would never make light of childbirth ever again.

His female co-host Susanna Reid sniggered as he went through the ordeal.

At first, the power was dialled up to level 21 for Piers, but he was shocked to learn that level 40 was the equivalent of actual contractions.

Susanna then suggested: “Let’s crank it up…”

When the machine was then whacked up to 40, Piers leapt out of his seat and yelled out in discomfort.

“Turn it off!” he demanded.

GMB viewers were delighted to watch Piers squirm.

One tweeted: “Oh so funny, absolutely hilarious, thank you GMB.”

Another added: “@piersmorgan you were hilarious this morning, @susannareid100 you enjoyed every second too (pure revenge). We thoroughly enjoyed the show #GMB.”

And a third commented: “Loved this far more than I should.”

The outspoken host admitted he now has a new “respect” for the female race.

Then, in a rather rare move for Piers, he apologised to the women of Great Britain!

He confessed: “To the women of Great Britain, I have to apologise. That was agony… my respect for women in childbirth has gone through the roof.

“I’m never going to make any joke about childbirth again.”
