Noel Edmonds has revealed he opted for the jungle over Strictly Come Dancing to dodge any conversations about the show’s infamous curse.
The TV presenter opened up ahead of entering the I’m A Celebrity camp and explained why he has steered clear of offers to appear on Strictly over the years, even making an agreement with his wife Liz Davies.

Speaking to The Sun, he admitted he considered putting on his dancing shoes, but explained: “I have been asked to do Strictly. Liz is a fully-trained singer and dancer and a couple of years ago she said, ‘Why don’t we cheat? Why don’t we say you’re a novice and I’ll teach you before’.
“Then I think there was one of those curse moments and I said to her, ‘Are you comfortable with me spending five or six days a week with a half-naked woman draped all over me?’ And it’s funny how the conversation just changed.”
He added of their nine-year marriage: “We’ve got something very, very special. I would be a cross between Ann Widdecombe and John Sergeant. But in my head I’m Fred Astaire. I don’t know why, nothing works — it’s hopeless, so I’d never do it.”
The 69-year-old presenting veteran, who has hosted the likes of Top Of The Pops and Deal or No Deal over his forty-year career, will soon be joining his campmates to sleep with the creepy crawlies and chow down on critters.
So he has revealed he’s been preparing himself by eating “worms” from his garden!
However, Noel admitted he doesn’t feel as confident if he has to eat kangaroo testicles for a Bushtucker trial…
Yikes!
The star is said to be getting one of the highest fees to appear Down Under, apparently bagging a whopping £600,000!

Football manager Harry Redknapp is apparently being paid half a million pounds to slum it in camp, while actor John Barrowman is reported to be receiving somewhere between £120,000 and £200,000.
