Mark Wright explains why Michelle Keegan “went mental” at him during the middle of the night

Ex TOWIE cast member also addressed whether couple would work together

Former reality show cast member Mark Wright has revealed wife Michelle Keegan once lost her rag with him due to his toilet etiquette.

The TV presenter, 32, was filling in for regular host Phillip Schofield on This Morning earlier today when the topic of partners’ sleeping problems came up as a discussion topic with Holly Willoughby’s stand in Rochelle Humes.

Rochelle told how her hubby Marvin sometimes sleepwalks – and even once got completely dressed while still out for the count to take the kids to school on a Saturday morning.

However, Mark’s tale about Michelle’s night-time issues seemed to be less about her dropping off and more about the chances of her dropping into the loo.

“I left the toilet seat up and my wife goes to sit down and use the toilet in the middle of the night. And she kind of falls through the toilet,” he recalled.

Describing her reaction, Mark continued: “She just went mental. I’m asleep listening to her screaming and I’m like: ‘What’s going on? What’s going on?’

“[She replied:] ‘You left the toilet seat up!'”

He added: “We had a row all morning the next day.”

Mark’s appearance – his second – as host on the ITV daytime programme left viewers divided.

Although there were some fans glad to see the ex TOWIE hunk on the box, the majority of viewers commenting on social media panned him mercilessly.

“I feel so blessed to host such an iconic show, a show that’s hosted daily by the best in the game,” Mark commented on Instagram this afternoon.

However, Mark shut down the idea of ever presenting along Michelle during an on air chat this morning – noting they prefer to keep their professional lives apart from their personal ones.

“You can never say never, but definitely not in the near future,” he replied when asked about the possibility of them working together.

“We like to keep work separate. We’ve obviously had stuff thrown at us before, but our relationship is our relationship and our work is our work.”
