Love Island viewers were left feeling “uncomfortable” last night after Curtis Pritchard rejected Maura Higgins’ advances.

Last night’s show saw the islanders get very steamy under the sheets including Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury, who appeared to get very intimate.

But over in Curtis and Maura’s bed, things weren’t going as smoothly after Curtis admitted he was too tired to get it on.

Maura was seen straddling the dancer and kissing him.

But Curtis told her: “Tonight is not the night,” to which Maura said: “Tonight is not the night, then what night is the night? I want you.”

Curtis said: “Tonight is not the night.”

Maura the sighed and moved over to her side of the bed.

She asked Curtis: “Why are you angry with me?” to which the dancer said: “I’m not angry with you. I’m just… I’m tired.”

The next morning, Maura still seemed to be annoyed by the situation.

Curtis asked her: “I’ll make you a coffee Maura I will, I’ll bring it up.”

But Maura ignored him and rolled her eyes.

She later spoke to Molly-Mae about her night with Curtis.

Maura said: “All he kept saying to me was, ‘oh I’m so tired.”

Molly-Mae said: “Makes you feel like [bleep].”

Maura added: “And this morning he said, ‘you alright Maura, do you want a coffee?’ I was like maybe a [expletive] orgasm would be grand. Like, am I asking for a lot?”

Curtis later told Maura: “Last night was eventful, wasn’t it? I was just knackered.”

Viewers were quick to share their thoughts on the situation, with many criticising Maura.

One person said: “The way Maura is acting because Curtis wouldn’t have sex with her is making me feel so uncomfortable. Imagine if roles were reversed.”

Another wrote: “Does it make nobody else uncomfortable that Maura was angry at Curtis for not being in the mood?”

A third tweeted: “I love love love Maura but I feel really uncomfortable watching Curtis explain the reason he didn’t want to have sex???? If this was the other way round it would be disgusting.”

Others are convinced Curtis just isn’t into Maura.

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
