Love Island’s Michael and Amber reignite chemistry amidst tension

The exes still have 'chemistry'

| Updated:

Tensions are high in Love Island as former couple Michael Griffiths and Amber Gill have everyone talking about their chemistry in the villa.

Eyebrows were raised after it was revealed that Amber sent Michael’s heart rate the highest during last night’s dirty dancing challenge.

It comes despite Michael dumping Amber and recoupling with new girl Joanna Chimonides. But Amber has already confessed she still has feelings for the fireman…

Michael ponders the results of the challenge and tries to work out why his heart rate soared during Amber’s dance and not Joanna’s.

Speaking with pal Jordan, he says: “Amber was the girl I was interested in and now my heart rate has been raised most by her. It’s not ideal.”

Michael puts the results of the challenge down to him feeling awkward when Amber was delivering her performance.

However, Jordan voices that the romantic connection between Michael and Amber could be stronger than his connection with Joanna.

Jordan tells Michael: “I think she [Amber] is very much still into you. From what I’ve seen, you and Joanna don’t have as much chemistry as you and Amber did. If you did change your mind, there would be nothing wrong with that.”

Michael replies: “It’s not a bad position to be in. Like, Joanna is unbelievable and Amber is stunning as well.”

Meanwhile, Amber is convinced there is still a connection with Michael.

She reflects on his reaction to her dance and tells Maura on the swing chair: “Now I know I’m not going insane and there is still something.”
