Loose Women annoys viewers by cutting off guest midway through story

And it was an amazing story, too!

Having survived a Thai jungle nightmare in which he almost DIED, former EastEnders star Paul Nicholls was probably itching to recount his adventure when he appeared on Loose Women today.

However, just as he was getting into his stride, the 38-year-old was cut off by panellist Coleen Nolan due to time restraints.

And the interruption didn’t sit well with viewers, who took to Twitter to brand the show “rude”.

Paul, who played Joe Wicks on the BBC soap during the mid-Nineties, explained that his ordeal happened after he went for a ride on his scooter while holidaying on Koh Samui.

During his trip, he was chased by a pack of dogs and ended up tumbling down a waterfall.

He told Coleen, Nadia Sawalha, Janet Street Porter and Anne Diamond: “I thought if I get into the water, these dogs can’t swim. I didn’t realise how much I was bleeding and I just went over a 20-foot drop.

“I remember seeing my knee hit [a rock] and something just flew out. It was part of my kneecap.”

Injured and dazed, Paul had to lie around for three days on his own until help came along. In that time, he was forced to fight off crabs and leeches.

But no matter how gripping the tale was, it didn’t stop Coleen from grinding it to a halt.

The 52-year-old presenter said: “Well, Paul, I’m so sorry… We’re just glad you’re here. You made it – incredible story. I hope they turn it into a film.”

And viewers at home were left frustrated that Paul didn’t get to conclude his tale, taking to social media to express their annoyance.

One moaned: “The one thing I hate about #LooseWomen is they never give guests enough time! Constantly announcing who’s coming on, then rushing interview.”

Another added: “It would be nice if Paul had enough time. He should’ve been the only [guest]. We get talentless reality ppl. This was fascinating.”

And a third said: “#LooseWomen Why invite someone on for their story and not give them enough time? But give a whole eight minutes for competition time! RUDE!”

Well, seeing as you never heard the end of the story during Paul’s appearance, allow us to fill you in.

After the actor failed to return his hired scooter, emergency services were sent out to try and find him.

Finally, after three days, a local villager spotted his moped and they were able to get to him.

Semi-conscious, he was suffering from hypothermia and a broken leg. But most importantly, he’d survived.

He told The Sun: “I’m lucky to be alive. It took such a long time to find me. It’s an understatement to say it wasn’t a great situation.”
