What is Locke & Key season 2 about?

The Netflix series follows the Locke siblings and their mother who move into their ancestral home.

They quickly discover it’s full of magical keys that may be connected to their father’s death.

However, they also stumble upon a demonic force who wants to use the house for its own evil purposes.

The first season ended with Dodge (Laysla De Oliveira) desperately in search of the Omega Key.

It’s the oldest key in existence and has the power to open the door to a brand new world.

However, how the key is used depends on whether someone good or evil is its owner.

To make matters worse, in the mayhem it was also revealed that Eden has been possessed.

She was struck by a stray demonic bullet during the finale and is now a danger to everyone and herself.

Sadly, Netflix is currently keeping plot details concerning season two under wraps.

Despite this, co-show runner Meredith Averill recently teased a few details.

“The world Joe and Gabe created is so rich with so much potential for places to go,” he told Hollywood Reporter.

“I feel like we have many stories we want to tell. The stories we tell in season one are launching points for many of the stories that have yet to come.”

Just a month later, Netflix green-lit the series for a second run much to the delight of fans.

However, with a middling reception from critics (66% on Rotten Tomatoes), the new season has a lot riding on it if it’s to win over new viewers.

Locke & Key season 2 will debut on Netflix in October 2021. However, an exact release date has yet to be confirmed.
