Kate Garraway sent a special message to husband Derek Draper as he had the ITV show on in hospital.
The 53-year-old presenter recently revealed nurses caring for her poorly husband have been putting the show on for him after his condition slightly improved.
It’s certainly a positive step for the dad-of-two, who has spent months in intensive care battling coronavirus.
What did Kate Garraway say to husband Derek?
During today’s Good Morning Britain, Kate told viewers she was set to visit her husband once she had finished work.
She added: “Good morning to Derek. We don’t know how much he can see or hear, but he knows the programme is on.”
The ITV star also thanked the workers looking after her husband, saying: “The team are watching.
“Thank you for everything you’re doing.”
Derek Draper’s ‘worrying’ week
Kate recently gave fans an update on Derek’s health, telling her GMB co-host Adil Ray he had a “worrying” time in hospital last week.
The presenter said he continues to face “challenges” with a number of aspects of his health.

She also admitted she feels guilty when she comes into work and laughs while Derek remains in a serious condition.
Kate said on the show: “It’s strange to see you this week, so much has happened. He’s very much still with us.
“There seems to be different challenges every week. I feel conscious of… I know everybody’s been so lovely, and it’s terrible isn’t it that there’s so many people out there with people who are sick.
“But you don’t want to talk about it on Good Morning Britain all the time, because then it’s not cheering up everybody that’s trying to cope with Covid.”
He’s still got lots of challenges
She added: “Then last week when we were having fun and games. You feel almost bad because you think, ‘Oh I’m laughing and he’s still there, you know, in a kind of minimally conscious state’. It’s a difficult balance.
“It was a worrying week last week. He’s still got lots of challenges. Challenges with his food, challenges with his lungs, everything. And we just want him to wake up.”
Meanwhile last month, Kate explained how nurses at the hospital had put GMB on for Derek to watch.
She added how his eyes, which are open, appeared to be more “focused”.

Kate went on: “I found it very emotional. We don’t know whether it’s the movement of the light or the familiar voice. But good morning Derek, if you are watching.
“We’re all sending you lots of love. Everyone here is sending lots of love. There are so many good wishes. Your own personal Good Morning Britain.”
