Judi Love had to ‘clean up’ her set for William and Kate and issue apology after Royal Variety Performance

She also broke royal protocol, it seems…

Strictly star Judi Love has revealed she was told to clean up her act when she performed in front of Prince William and Kate recently.

Judi, who is also a Loose Women panellist and stand-up comedian, told Jonathan Ross about her appearance at the Royal Variety Show last month.

And, in an interview that airs on Saturday night (December 4), she tells the host: “I was like, do they know who they’ve booked?!”

What did Judi say about William and Kate?

Judi said it was an “amazing feeling” performing for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

However, she did have to make some changes to her act, and she revealed that part of her sketch was banned from the performance.

She said: “It was such an amazing feeling.

“But I had to kind of clean that up a bit [her material].

“I wasn’t allowed to say the word gynaecologist. I don’t know why,” she admitted.

She then revealed what she thought of William and Kate, and how the future king laughed at her joke about Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

“William is cute you know,” Judi said. “Kate you’re lucky.

“I was talking to him about Boris. I was cussing out Boris… my Boris joke he really liked it.

“I was telling him he was slick and he looked good,” said Judi.

Judi issues apology to Kate

However, the Strictly favourite did have to issue an apology to the duchess after a bit of a royal protocol break.

The apology was quickly shrugged off by down-to-earth-Kate, though.

I said: ‘So sorry sweetheart…’ But she was like: ‘It’s okay.’ She was very nice.

Judi explained: “Kate, she’s so stunning, so naturally beautiful.

“I kept calling her darling. I said: ‘So sorry sweetheart…’ But she was like: ‘It’s okay.’ She was very nice.”
