Jonathan Ross viewers brand Martin Clunes a “tramp” after appearance

How did they not realise?

Viewers didn’t miss a trick watching The Jonathan Ross show on Saturday night after they noticed something about guest Martin Clunes.

While the Doc Martin star was chatting to the host, many noticed something about his shoes.

He had a gaping hole in the bottom of one of them.

Who styled you Martin?!

One viewer at home hilariously wrote: “Poor old Martin Clunes – big hole in the sole of his shoes on Jonathon Ross show – perhaps he should try Doc Martens.”

Another amused fan of the show wrote: “Martin Clunes needs a pay rise judging by his shoes,” along with crying-laughing emojis.

One even called him a “tramp”.

“Martin Clunes Doc Martin needs to go to Timpsons he’s got a hole in his soul [sic] of his Doc Martins [sic],” they said. Then used the hashtags “#tramp” and “#holeinmyshoe”.

Mean!

On the show, Martin spoke about his TV series as well as his passion for farming.

He lives on a huge 130-acre farm with his wife Philippa Braithwaite, who produces Doc Martin, in the Dorset countryside.

It’s populated with horses, chickens, cows, and sheep, as well as cats and dogs.

Talking to the Radio Times, he said: “I can go for weeks without leaving the farm. I like being connected to the seasons in a real way. Making hay, worrying about the grass, watching the leaves come and go. I like coming to London, but I’ve always got an eye on going home.”

Perhaps he’s been spending too much time working on his farm, and has forgotten what it’s like to dress smartly.
