John Whaite has revealed that he won’t be spending Christmas with friends and family, following his stint on Strictly Come Dancing.
The Great British Bake Off winner, 32, has been busy than ever in the lead up to the festive period.
But despite plans to spend the day in an isolated cabin, John won’t be completely alone on Christmas.

In a new interview, John explained that he and his fiancé Paul Atkins will spend the day together.
He admitted that the pair haven’t spent much time together since joining Strictly.
John told OK!: “We’ve booked a cabin in the middle of Scotland in a national park. It’s just us and our dog. We’re not going to see any family or friends.

“With Strictly being so manic, we haven’t seen much of each other, so we’ve decided this Christmas we’re going to dedicate to each other.”
He continued: “We’ll see our families before we go, but then we’ll have no phone signal or Wi-Fi.”
The pair have been together since 2008, but John often keeps details about their relationship private.

However, he did announce his engagement to the graphic designer back in 2017.
At the time, John wrote: “My true love. We’ve decided to get married.
“We’ve fought for these rights, and we shall use them.”
John opens up on his Argentine Tango
Meanwhile, it comes days after John wowed the judges with his steamy Argentine Tango.
The baker went on to score an impressive 39 points alongside partner Johannes Radebe.
The pair appeared on It Takes Two last night (November 29) to discuss the routine.
Praising his partner, Johannes shared: “It fills me with pride and joy but that’s because John works and he’s a perfectionist and I love it!
“He’s that hard on himself so I don’t even have to do much!”
He added: “But we’ve worked really, really hard and that’s what we do every single week, we try and just come through and just own what we do, and it’s starting to pay off.”

However, John revealed that he’s suffering from hip pain following the routine.
On Instagram yesterday, the star shared a snap alongside his physiotherapist.
He posted: “This gal @jen_nash_ performed SO MUCH physio on me over the weekend because all those lunges and lifting Jo has knackered my hips. THANK YOU, JEN.”
