Jeremy Kyle’s ‘most hated’ guest admits he was pushed to suicide

He took his girlfriend's meds and blacked out on the bathroom floor

A Jeremy Kyle Show guest who was branded the “most hated guest ever” has said he took an overdose after appearing on the show.

ITV announced on Wednesday that the daytime show has been cancelled for good following the tragic death of guest Steve Dymond, 63, who had appeared on the programme and is believed to have taken his own life.

Another participant Dwayne Davison, who appeared on the show in 2016, claims the producers “stirred around my whole life”.

Speaking to the Guardian, Dwayne said: “It’s the worst thing that has ever happened in my life. They put the spoon in and stirred around my whole life.”

Dwayne said he took some of his girlfriend’s medication and blacked out on the bathroom floor last year after having enough of criticism over his appearance on the show.

Thankfully, his partner Barbara called 999 and paramedics rushed to his home.

He continued: “At the hospital they said I would have died. I know this is putting responsibility on other places but I 100% put it on that show. That show has ruined my life. It’s evil.

“These are things that people don’t understand. They’re watching thinking I’m evil and bad. They don’t get to see why I’m so riled up.”

During Dwayne’s appearance, Jeremy accused him of being rude to staff, disrespecting women and attacking another guest.

Host Jeremy Kyle eventually had him removed from the set.

Dwayne said at the time he went on the show, he was unemployed and was in a relationship with a woman who was convinced that he was cheating on her.

He got in touch with the show because he was interested in the offer of a free lie detector test.

After he was invited onto the show, Dwayne claims a taxi was at his house “within an hour” and said he felt the pressure to take part.

He claims producers told him to shout, swear and scream at the presenter in order to “give a good show”.

Dwayne added that he felt like a “puppet” and claims he was made to wear “tracksuit bottoms” when normally he would wear jeans and “nice v-necks”.

He said the comments from viewers calling him “scum” have ruined his life.

This isn’t the only guest who has hit out at the show following its axe.

Fergus Kenny, a veteran with PTSD, claims he also nearly killed himself after he was told by host Jeremy that he “didn’t deserve a daughter” when he appeared on the show.

Meanwhile, dad-of-two Peter Franks has accused the ITV show of making him and wife Amanda take a fake lie detector test to prove she was unfaithful.

He claims to The Sun that the producers “made up” a story about his wife getting pregnant after a threesome to boost ratings.
