Jeremy Kyle guest dies months after reuniting with daughter on show

The tragic story had viewers sobbing

Jeremy Kyle viewers were left crying this morning after discovering a father who reunited with his long-lost daughter died just three months after they found each other.

On Tuesday’s show, host Jeremy reunited Cerys with her veteran dad Mark Sinclair, who she said “disappeared” eight years ago.

They had a very emotional meet-up on the ITV show and a tearful Cerys introduced her four-month-old baby girl to her dad.

Mark left Cerys years ago after he was struggling with PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and using drugs, including heroin.

But, sadly, their happy new start didn’t last.

A post-script message on the show revealed that Mark passed away three months after they were put back in touch.

It read: “Mark and Cerys spent quality time with each other after the show, but tragically Mark passed away three months after meeting Cerys.

One fan tweeted after the episode: “Sobbing here. Such an amazing story and FANTASTIC that Cerys & Mark (& granddaughter) were reunited, just so tragic that he died after all that. I’m sure he died ‘happy’ though. Jeremy Kyle at its best.”

Another added: “Oh god I’m crying at the end of The Jeremy Kyle Show, that was so sad. So cruel to finally have your dad back, introduce him to your baby daughter only to lose him so soon after. #jeremykyle.”

A third tweeted: “Happy tears for the end of Jeremy Kyle finding her dad…then the credits came up so so sad he passed away! Now I have sad tears.”

Mark told Jeremy on the show: “I was at a bad place in my life because through the forces I got into drugs because I didn’t know anything about PTSD.

“I felt she deserved better than what I… I wasn’t giving her nothing at the time.

“It’s just been because I’ve sorted myself out, it’s just been Cerys, Cerys, Cerys everyday. She is on my mind, she is there the last thing at night, she’s there first thing in the morning, everything.”
