Jeremy Kyle viewers were left baffled as a guest refused to take his balaclava off even though his own brother also appeared on Tuesday’s show.
Kevin appeared on the programme because he was convinced girlfriend Chelsea had been sleeping with strangers behind his back – a claim she denied – and wanted her to take a lie detector test.
He said he would propose to Chelsea if she passed the test.

But, Kevin insisted he wanted to keep the mask on throughout the show as he’s a “private person” and didn’t want “everyone knowing my problems”.
He told host Jeremy: “I don’t want everyone knowing my problems. I’m a private person.”
Jeremy hit back: “You’re a private person and you’re on the Jeremy Kyle show? This is a bit weird for me. You want to use my show, find out if your girlfriend is a cheat but you won’t put your face on the screen?”
Kevin replied: “No,” to which Jeremy joked: “I feel like I’m in some sort of robbery here!”
Kevin and Chelsea then sat on stage and his brother, Robbie, came out to join them.
Jeremy joked to Robbie: “Robbie, that’s your brother if you weren’t aware.”
Viewers were left confused and pointed out that some people watching from home may be able to identify Kevin by looking at his brother.
One person said: “Doesn’t want anyone to know who he is… anyone that knows his partner or brother will know it’s him. Foolproof plan, not hiding brains under that balaclava obviously.”
Another wrote: “That numpty sat there with a balaclava on.. Anyone who knows her and his brother..Knows its him..AND he got a ginger beard sticking out.”

Chelsea ended up passing the lie detector with flying colours and Kevin decided to get down on one knee and pop the question.
He told her: “Will you marry me?” to which Chelsea replied: “If you want to.”
Kevin said: “Of course I want to! I am sorry.”
Jeremy asked: “Did a man in a balaclava just ask someone to marry him on the Jeremy Kyle show?
Later in the show, Jeremy revisited Kevin and Chelsea’s story as he finally took his balaclava off.

Jeremy told him: “You’re the only person who has come on the Jeremy Kyle show and asked someone to marry him in balaclava.
